NEWS: Nissan Helps Conserve Tennessee Environmental Habitats

Plenty of us in the greater Surrey area enjoy the great outdoors. Most of us do our part to conserve and make sure these habitats are here for us to use for a long time to come. Buying or leasing a new Nissan from King George Nissan is a good place to start, too. However, the automaker does more than give us fuel-efficient vehicles to drive.

The most recent case: its efforts to help ward off the Woolly Adelgid in Tennessee. The automaker employs a large amount of people in the Volunteer State, so it rather fittingly is lending a helping hand in the form of $50,000.

That money will be used to stave off the infestation of this pest that is not native to the area, and is causing lots of damage on trees. A chemical that is safe for trees, but harmful to the pests is being used as a preventative measure. You can also do your part. That means being on the lookout while hiking trails, or by not transporting wood from one area to another.

That way, Nissan, the good people of Tennessee, and the rest of us who have found the Woolly Adelgid in our local areas can make sure that our environment is safe and sound.

Of course, when you go out and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer, you want to do it in style, and with the environment in mind. That's why we recommend models like the Titan, Pathfinder, and Xterra here at King George Nissan. These vehicles are able to tackle just about any challenge thrown their way, and do so with authority.

If you're interested in taking one out for a test drive, contact us or visit us at 14948 32nd Ave. Diversion Surrey, BC V4P 3R5 and we'd be happy to set one up and answer any questions you might have.
